Call for Entries for the 2nd Global Healthcare Advertising Awards (GHAA)

Thursday 1 October 1st (Thursday) to November 30th(Monday) 2026, for approximately 8 weeks

Eligibility

Open to any institutions, organizations and individuals in Korea and overseas, including medical institutions; healthcare-related organizations (such as international patient facilitators, local governments and public institutions); travel agencies; production companies and independent producers; and content creators.

Visual Category Advertising and promotional photographs; posters; brochures and leaflets; outdoor advertising; brand identity (BI, logos, symbols, etc.); infographics; characters and emoticons; and campaign visuals

Content that conveys the trust fundamental to healthcare communication, covering health and healthcare services broadly, including patient and user experiences, brand values, accessibility and information provision. Hospital introduction videos, patient-centered service campaigns and public healthcare promotion.
Innovation Content that presents a forward-looking healthcare environment through medical technology, digital health, AI, smart healthcare and innovation in healthcare services. AI diagnostic technologies, telemedicine, smart hospital systems and stories of innovative healthcare professionals.
Connect
(Connectivity)
Content that explores how healthcare connects people and countries through international healthcare cooperation, global brand outreach, medical tourism, access to care for international patients, and collaboration across regions and institutions. Social media campaigns that engage global patient communities.

Submission Process

Submit your entry online through the official competition website.

  • Enter the entrant and entry details, then upload your entry and supporting materials.
  • Review and agree to the provisions on the collection and use of personal information, copyright and the use of entries before completing your submission.
  • Submitted information may be edited only during the entry period. No changes or supplementary materials will be accepted after the deadline.

Required Information

  • Entrant details: name (or institution/organization name), nationality, affiliation and contact details.
  • Entry details: category, theme, production/release dates, title and description.
  • Entry upload: upload the video or visual work file.
  • Acknowledgment and consent: collection and use of personal information; copyright, likeness rights and other rights; and entry guidelines and precautions for the use of generative AI.

Submission Requirements

  • (Video Category) Submit a commonly used video file format, such as MP4.

Short-form: up to 60 seconds. Long-form: over 60 seconds and up to 8 minutes.

  • (Visual Category) Submit a file format that allows the entire work to be viewed, such as JPG, PNG or PDF

▸For works with multiple sides or pages, such as brochures and leaflets, include the complete layout.

▸For outdoor advertising and campaign visuals, additional images showing the work as actually displayed or used may be uploaded.

Judging Process Overview

Process

Entries will be assessed in two stages: a preliminary review (Document screening) of submitted materials and a final judging (expert evaluation) by experts.

  • (Preliminary review) Checking compliance with entry format requirements, the completeness of submitted materials, relevance to the themes (Care, Innovation and Connect), duplicate submissions and compliance with the rules.
  • (Final judging) specialist judges in advertising, including video and visual content, and healthcare comprehensively evaluate entries against five criteria: Creativity and Originality; Global Appeal and Reach; Production Quality and Technical Execution; Communication of the Theme; and Public Interest and Ethics.

Judging Panel

The panel comprises experts from Korea and overseas in healthcare, PR and policy sectors.

Selection of Winners

  • Winners were selected by ranking entries in each category according to their scores, based on the results of the final judging.
  • If the judging process reveals that no entries meet the eligibility criteria, no winner may be selected for that category.
  • Only one entry per person (or organisation) is permitted; multiple entries across different themes or categories will not be accepted.

Awards Plan

Awards Schedule (Tentative) : Scheduled for March 2027.

* The awards ceremony will be held as a side event at Medical Korea 2027.

* Association and Society Awards will be finalized in consultation with the relevant associations and societies. The previous year’s participating organizations were the Korea International Medical Association (Care), KOREAN SOCIETY of DIGITAL HEALTH (Innovation) and Korea Public Relations Association (Connect).

    * Airfare and accommodation support is planned for overseas winners attending the awards ceremony. Details of the support provided will be announced separately.

  • Promotion of winning entries in conjunction with 「Medical Korea 2027」

    * Promotional opportunities will include exhibitions and screenings of winning entries at the event venue

  • Trophies and additional prizes for winning entries.
